Simple quantum explanation:"Gravity consists of quantum fields of lines of concentric energy that is produced by any matter or material particle around it in a spherical way, which gives mass to itself and to any other particles that are within this field."
This way, we can defined to these fields as "gravitational fields" or gravity fields, due to they consist of concentric fields of force that give mass and drag to any particle inside its field of action; all that very different to the Einstein deformation space-time and other current ideas about gravity.The quantum fields and the fields of this theory would be fields of energy with power to drag or move particles and charges along them, being these fields of some different "substance" as can be magnetic, electric, and mainly gravity fields.
On the other hand, the Higgs theory of fields and bosons seems to be little real.
Bosons totally unstable and rarely found can't bear the necessary stable fields of Higgs.
To support the stable matter of the cosmos would be necessary of stable fields with stable and abundant bosons that would give mass to the near infinite particles of the universe.
Then it seems to be clear that is the matter that produces the fields (of gravity), giving mass to itself and to other particles, and when being concentric fields of force, also these material particles are attracted among them.
Synthesis: The gravity consists of concentric fields of force, those which give mass and attraction among them: "The more matter, more mass and more strength of mutual attraction".
